Adam "Firestorm" Dykes : 1976 - 2009
On what would have been his 33rd birthday, Ringside returns for a final edition as we remember the life and times of the late Adam Firestorm.
We're joined on the show by a multitude of Adam's friends and former colleagues in the world of professional wrestling, as we share the memories of a truly great friend. Joining us are Bryan Alvarez of Figure 4 Weekly, Craig Proper, Buddy Wayne, Verne Siebert, Happy Kreter (best known as Strife, one of Adam's former tag team partners), and Adam's trainer, "Gorgeous" Michelle Starr.
We'll play - in full - the two songs that became a big part of this show: Megaphone's "Not Your Enemy" and the Sumo Sister's "I Wanna Wrestle You"... and fittingly for Ringside, we have our fair share of technical problems, as we produce our longest ever show, weighing in at over two hours!
Thank you to everyone who has called, e-mailed, or simply just listened to Ringside over the years. Adam enjoyed being a part of this show each and every week, and it was truly an honour to have spent the past two-plus years working alongside a man who had such a great insight to the world of professional wrestling. Adam was a true friend, and I for one will miss him dearly.
“Dear Friends of Adam “Firestorm”,
A fund in Adam’s memory has been opened to help cover costs associated with his memorial and interment. Donors can visit any Coast Capital Savings branch in B.C. and make a deposit to the account of “Dykes Family In Trust.”
or
Cheques and money orders can be made out to “Dykes Family In Trust” and mailed to this address:
Dykes Family in Trust, c/o Happy Kreter, 4660-203 St., Langley, B.C. Canada, V3A 5J7
Thank you.
A second trust fund has been set up by Adam’s widow, but we have been assured by her that all monies donated this way will be used to cover the costs of Adam’s burial, internment and for an appropriate grave marker. Any excess monies will be invested and saved for the education of his son, Thomas.
Rest in Peace Adam.

It's almost All Hallow's Eve, and with the wrestling world watching Hulk Hogan signing with TNA, everyone has one question on their mind... Trick, or Treat?
This week, Ian and Adam are joined by Bryan Williams from THQ as we talk about the newly released WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2010 video game. We've also got two copies of the game on the Xbox 360 to give away, while we also talk about Desmond Wolfe's debut, future WWE plans, and much more!

We're back from two weeks' break, and we've got a heck of a lot to talk about... we'll cover Shane McMahon's resignation from WWE, Captain Lou Albano's death, the latest setback for Good Ol' JR, and just why Nigel McGuinness is in TNA rather than WWE.
We'll also run through the bulk of the news that we've missed while we've been away, and some more snippets from this week, before previewing the upcoming events, with a total change of a pay-per-view main event just hours ahead of Sunday's WWE Bragging Rights pay-per-view.

We may be away on vacation, but it doesn't mean the hits stop coming! A year ago, the wrestling world was in the midst of Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling... now, with the Hulkamania tour of Australia a month away, we're going back to the past, as we return with Eric Bischoff and Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, as they talked CCW.
Check us out on Twitter - follow us @ringsidelive or check out the site www.theringsidelive.com (via wrestling-online.com) - we're back next week, with all the news in the last two weeks, plus a preview of this weekend's pay-per-view: WWE Bragging Rights!

Ringside is back this week, as we take a scan over another action packed week of news, as we deal with plenty of departures, as UFC faced losing two of it's top names, while WWE said bye-bye to Lilian Garcia.
We're also joined for half an hour by Maffew - best known as the creator of the hit YouTube series of Botchamania videos (with one F-bomb for effect! you have been warned!), as he talks about wrestling, botches, and a whole lot more! We also touch upon more from WWE, including next week's controversial guest host of Raw, Jim Cornette's departure from TNA, and a lot more about the Hulkamania promotion that's hitting Australia in November!
We've also got a joint Event Center this week, as Ian and Adam run down this weekend's UFC and TNA pay-per-views, a peek into the future as WWE recycle more matches (except this time, they're in Hell in a Cell!), and look into the future house shows and indie shows! Ringside returns this week with another news-packed show, as we look upon last week's arrest of Jeff Hardy - how that came around, what happened, and what the repercussions could be for Jeff's future.
We'll also have a look at the new Hulkamania promotion that is set to tour Australia in November, and wheher it's got any chance of success in a country (and indeed, the same city) that's also going to be hosting big TNA and UFC shows in the next six months! We also run down Breaking Point, the upcoming WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2010 video game (and which performers will be celebrating with bumper royalty payments this year!), plus news on the Royal Rumble, Randy Couture, WWE departures and much more!
We've also got a joint Event Center this week, as Ian and Adam run down this weekend's UFC and TNA pay-per-views, a peek into the future as WWE recycle more matches (except this time, they're in Hell in a Cell!), and look into the future house shows and indie shows! Ringside celebrates its first new-look show (and second anniversary) with a blast! Ian Hamilton and Adam Firestorm return to the show with improved sound comes a new format, a new look, and a star guest.
A few days ahead of a two-date run in Portimao, Portugal with the World Stars of Wrestling promotion, we're joined by ROB VAN DAM as he talks about his latest tour of Europe, as well as a look back to his long career in ECW and WWE, how fans still continue to react to him today and whether he would consider a return to a full-time schedule.
We also ask Rob about his time with the Nu Wrestling Evolution, and his experiences of helping train the Ultimate Warrior for his comeback match last year. Rob also tells us about how much (or little) wrestling he watches nowadays, before we wrap up with a quick game of word association featuring some of RVD’s former bosses.
On top of that, Ian and Adam talk about the Dragon Gate USA pay-per-view, and why it is may not be the breath of fresh air everyone was talking about... plus a preview of this weekend's Breaking Point pay-per-view, alongside a look into the worlds of WWE, TNA, UFC and more!

THE WHOLE F'N SHOW ON THE NEW F'N SHOW
Sep 08, 2009 -- This Friday, September 11 2009 on Ringside, in our first new-look episode (and, coincidentally, our second anniversary), Ian Hamilton and Adam Firestorm are joined by a man who needs no introduction, but will get one anyway: Rob Van Dam.
A few days ahead of a two-date run in Portimao, Portugal with the World Stars of Wrestling promotion, RVD talks about his latest tour of Europe, as well as a look back to his long career in ECW and WWE, how fans still continue to react to him today and whether he would consider a return to a full-time schedule.
Also on the show, we’ll run through the week’s news from the worlds of pro wrestling and MMA, preview Sunday’s Breaking Point pay-per-view, review the Dragon Gate USA pay-per-view, and give you a head’s up on upcoming live events with the Ringside Event Center!

We have the latest on Rey Mysterio's hot water that just keeps getting hotter, the latest ROH star to head to WWE, and what that means for Ring of Honor. Will they be able to recover after losing Bryan Danielson as well - and how did they rebound after they lost key talent to TNA several years ago? Will they be able to repeat this recovery?
We'll also talk about Daniels' DUI, TNA departures, the final word on our move next week, and a load more! Check out our Twitter feed and follow us @ringsidelive [intro music: "Throb" by Speed Limit 35]
